At CtR, DSF will be on Jan. 28-29.
"Our theme for the 2017 Diocesan Services Funds (DSF) is:
Go Make Disciples! This is part of the Great Commission, given by Jesus Christ to his disciples at the end of the Gospel of Matthew. After his death and resurrection, Jesus appears to them at “the mountain to which [he] had ordered them”, and there, charges them to proclaim the good news of salvation to all the nations. They, who have been with him, were nourished by his teachings, and were witnesses to his public ministry. Now they are called to be agents of the mercies of God to others."
When we follow Christ's call, it is most appropriate that we give of ourselves through Stewardship for we discover that our response brings many gifts to us. The gifts given are gifts to be shared. When you give of your resources for DSF, you are answering the call of discipleship in a most concrete and effective way that benefits the common good of the whole Archdiocese.
Each year, the DSF operates in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston to help carry out each of the ministries of teaching and sanctifying. Of the 60+ programs under its umbrella, DSF brings the needed financial resources to carry out these same ministries.
