Director of Religious Education
"I am delighted to be a part of the Religious Education Department team at Christ the Redeemer. Over the years, God has blessed me with many opportunities to serve in the area of parish and diocesan catechetical ministry. I am excited to return to the parish setting and look forward to all the joys and challenges of being a part of the faith journey of so many people."
Kathy Kelley brings with her not only a wealth of practical pastoral experience in Religious Education, but more importantly, a catechist’s heart. She comes to us from the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston Office of Evangelization and Catechesis, formerly the Office of Religious Education, where she has served as the Associate Director for the past four years. Prior to that, she was Director of Faith Formation at Christ the Good Shepherd Church in Spring where she led a highly respected program. She was on staff since 1992 as Sacrament Coordinator, then Director of Youth Ministry, followed by 12 years as Director. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, a Master’s in Religious Education from University of St. Thomas in Houston and a Master’s in Theological Studies from the UST School of Theology at St. Mary’s Seminary in Houston.
She and her husband are members of CtR, and in fact, she is already part of the CtR team as she was already giving of her time as one of our catechists. She has the knowledge, heart and desire to help us build upon our strengths in Religious Education, and the vision to enable us to reach even greater heights in forming young disciples. She will work well with our current staff, catechists and parents to serve our community well and put us on a solid track for future years.

Jill Dimiceli has seen the amazing evolution of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. She has been in Cypress since 1984 and remembers when it was considered the country – with only two streets and one store.
From starting out at CtR as a volunteer, to becoming a part-time receptionist to her current position as Coordinator of Religious Education, Vacation Bible School and Catholic Faith Camp Director, she has been here through it all. She recalls how CtR, at first, only had 300 families. She is humbled by how far this parish community has come.
Jill feels the most rewarding parts of her job are helping catechists in their formation and working with the kids in VBS. She has seen how one week of VBS can really change a child’s life. Jill is also in charge of the two CtR nurseries – Noah’s Place and The Ark.
Jill was born in Detroit, Mich., but moved to Houston at 14 years old. She received her degree in teaching from Sam Houston State University. Her other trainings and certifications include Formation Toward Christian Ministry, Catechist Certification, Basic Formation for
Leadership and Catechetical Leadership Institute. She has been with her husband, Mike, for more than 40 years and has three kids and eight grandchildren.

Annette O’Driscoll has had quite a few interesting jobs in the Catholic Church in her life. After having worked at Christ the Redeemer since 2014, she likes the environment of the CtR Religious Education Department because there is a sense of unity with a clear understanding of the department’s purpose. She also said that the joy of the CtR staff is contagious.
Annette was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She moved to Philadelphia after her high school graduation and attended Saint Joseph’s University where she received her degree in marketing. After graduation, she began working as a missionary for the Cabrini Sisters in August 2000. For two years, she was assigned to a below poverty level, all girls high school in New York City and assisted with Campus Ministry. She later became the Assistant Director at Cabrini Mission Corps focusing on recruiting, training and supporting volunteers. While in New York, she also became good friends with a young man, Sean, who volunteered with the Franciscans.
She decided to move to Texas in 2003. Much to her surprise, Sean followed her to Texas and they started dating after six years of friendship. Annette was able to find work in Youth Ministry at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church from 2003-2006. She later worked with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul where she oversaw the creation of the now flourishing youth and young adult ministry. While at St. Vincent’s, Annette and Sean married. In 2009, she and Sean become the youth ministers at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Tomball. She was the junior high youth director for four years. She was hired at CtR in 2014. As sacrament coordinator at CtR, Annette coordinates First Reconciliation and First Eucharist at CtR, supports the sacrament team, recruits and trains volunteers who lead sessions, and supports the parents with training at home. She also works with the CtR Echo Apprentice and the Home-based Catechesis program.
She currently lives in Tomball with Sean, who works in the Office of Communications for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. They have twin children, a boy and a girl, who attend CtR Catholic School.

Debbie Hawkins describes herself as a “good worker bee.” “Every office needs one,” she said. Well this worker bee has been a parishioner at CtR since 1987 and helping families since 2000, and, if you ask the families and her close friend in R.E. Jill Dimiceli, she is much more than just a worker bee.
Debbie is a native Houstonian who grew up in the Heights. She later moved across town and attended Tomball High School. Debbie started at CtR as a part-time assistant to the Parish Secretary, Charlotte Conner, under Rev. Dominic Peluse, SCJ, who is a close friend of the family. After a short hiatus from CtR in 2001 to run a family business, Debbie returned to work with Charlotte again under Rev. Sean Horrigan. She often helped out in Religious Education and enjoyed the creativity and communication she had with the parents and families. She later switched to R.E. completely and was in charge of middle and high school confirmation registration. She now does all of the registration for First Communion. She enjoys her role as an R.E. Coordinator very much.
Debbie is grateful for the strength of the R.E. team and the flexibility she has to be with her husband, David, as he is trying to beat cancer. She has three children and two grandchildren. Debbie currently lives in Cypress.

Linda Watso has called Christ the Redeemer home since 2001. Her son, Todd, became very involved with youth activities and, as parent chauffeurs, she and her husband David began participating as volunteers and never looked back.
Linda grew up in Lafayette, La. and has been in Houston since 2001. She was a stay-at-home mom for about 10 years, but was looking for something part-time. She had been an administrative assistant and enjoyed the challenge that came along with it. She began running the Vacation Bible School (VBS) program at CtR. Now in the Religious Education (R.E.) Department, she helps with general office duties and will mainly assist with record keeping and communications to R.E. families.
Having been involved with many ministries at CtR, Linda was on the sacraments team (now a substitute), was a Eucharistic Minister (also substituting), and she and David ran the Respect Life Ministry for a couple of years. She is still the VBS coordinator.
She and David live in Cypress and they have two boys. Todd is a former employee of CtR and his wife Catie is a school counselor in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Their younger son, Robbie, is in elementary school.
Colleen Campbell is originally from Greenville, S.C. She received her bachelor's degree in pastoral ministry with an emphasis in catechesis from the University of Dallas in May 2015. She is currently working toward an Master of Arts in Theology from the University of Notre Dame through the
Colleen's interest in catechetical ministry comes from her deep love for the Church. Throughout her life, she has desired to serve the Church especially in its mission to form disciples at the parish level. Her favorite part of catechetical ministry is working with children and youth who are preparing for the reception of sacraments.
At Christ the Redeemer, Colleen primarily works in Religious Education. Her responsibilities also include sacrament preparation and Home-Based Catechesis. She has greatly enjoyed working with the staff at CtR and getting to know the parish.
As Christ the Redeemer's Echo Apprentice, Colleen will serve CtR for two years. After her time at CtR, Colleen hopes to begin working toward a doctorate in catechetics in order to research specific ways of catechizing women and young girls.
Currently, Colleen lives with three other Echo apprentices in the Cypress area. In her free time, she enjoys working out and playing basketball.
