Liturgy of the Word with Children

Ministry Purpose: Liturgy of the Word with Children is a worship experience geared especially for children which offers an experience for them to hear the Scriptures in words they understand. We follow the same structure as the Liturgy of the Word for the entire assembly. Leaders' guides and children's handouts are provided. It is scheduled during selected Sunday morning liturgies. An eagerness to share God's word with children is the only requirement for participation in this ministry. There will always be support and encouragement. There is no limit to what God can work through each of us.

During the 9:00 and 11:00 Masses, all elementary children are invited to participate in the Liturgy of the Word. An adult will present the Scriptures to the children at their level and how it pertains to them in their own life, along with a Gospel Reflection to help them further understand the Scripture Readings. After the Prayers of the Faithful, the children will return to their families to celebrate the Liturgy of the Eucharist. No registration or fee is required. Children’s Liturgy dates are below.
