Altar Servers

This ministry provides the younger members of the parish with a true opportunity to function as lay ministers by reverently assisting the celebrant and/or deacon during Sunday Mass and special liturgies throughout the year.

Formations (trainings) for new and existing altar servers are offered in late spring and summer. Individuals interested in becoming altar servers must be in 5th grade or above and must have completed their First Communion. High school students currently serving as altar servers can also serve as leads and mentors. Leads and Mentors train and offer assistance during the scheduled training sessions. Each server is required to complete the initial training (two formation sessions) and attend at least one update per year.
