A New Creature
“Baptism not only purifies from all sins, but also makes the neophyte ‘a new creature,’ an adopted son of God, who has become a ‘partaker of the divine nature,’ member of Christ and co-heir with him, and a temple of the Holy Spirit. The Most Holy Trinity gives the baptized sanctifying grace, the grace of justification:
- enabling them to believe in God, to hope in him and to love him through the theological virtues;
- giving them the power to live and act under the prompting of the Holy Spirit through the gifts of the Holy Spirit;
- allowing them to grow in goodness through the moral virtues. Thus the whole organism of the Christian’s supernatural life has its roots in Baptism.”

General InformationTo fully prepare for Baptism, please consider that it takes 2-3 months of preparation. We encourage you to start the process before the baby is born.
Baptism ceremonies are celebrated:- The second and third Sundays of the month at 1 p.m.
- The fourth Saturday of the month at 11 a.m.
- Baptisms are not held during Lent.

Process
1. Pre-Baptism Interview
Please click the button below to fill out the form to request an interview, even if parents have completed interview for previous children's baptisms. If possible parents should bring a copy of the child's birth certificate as well as the names of Godparents to the interview. Please see Godparent requirements below.
We are trying to get in touch with everyone in a timely matter that is reaching out. If it's been over two weeks, please contact the front office.

After the interview, you can now register for classes. Parents are required to attend the Baptism classes, and Godparents (Sponsors) are highly encouraged to attend the baptism classes. Click the button below to sign up. If you need to register your child for the nursery during the classes please email [email protected], nursery registration must be done 72 hours before the class.

3. Scheduling the BaptismIf you have attended the initial interview and the baptismal classes you can arrange a date for your child’s baptism. There are no baptisms during the season of Lent. Baptisms are celebrated on the second and third Sundays (at 1 p.m.) and the fourth Saturday (at 11 a.m.) of the month. Choosing Catholic Godparents (Sponsors)

All individuals baptized in the Catholic Church must have at least one Catholic godparent. To be admitted to the role of sponsor, a person must:
- Be designated as a sponsor and have the qualifications and intention of performing this role.
- Be at least 16 years old.
- Be a Catholic who has been confirmed and has already received the sacrament of the Eucharist and leads a life in harmony with the faith and role to be undertaken.
- If married, married in the Catholic Church.
- Has to be a minimum of one godparent, a maximum of two. If it is two godparents, it must be one male and one female.
- Not be the father or mother of the one being baptized.
Note: Baptized Catholics who do not meet the requirements that are listed above are not eligible to be Christian Witnesses. Christian Witnesses are people baptized in another Christian faith tradition, who practice their faith and believe in The Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit)
