We’ve made good progress the past few weeks, and we expect to hit a couple of major construction milestones next week during Spring Break. We have poured all of the grade beams (the large and deep underground cement beams that hold up the building) as well as the elevator pit. The sanitary system is underway and next week we plan on completing the demolition, earthwork and paving for the area that was awaiting final MUD approval (this is the dirt area which you now drive over as you cut through the work site; by next week it should be completed and we will have a cement driveway the entire way around the project). Underground work on the building pad is nearing completion and we have begun formwork and rebar placement for the slab. If the weather is favorable next week we will pour the slab on Tuesday and Wednesday (and place the religious articles you have dropped off in it), and by the following week we expect the first delivery of the structural steel. As you can see it is a lot of activity and that’s a good thing!
