Genesis Early Childhood Program hosted a pumpkin party on Nov. 19 and 20. The students, teachers and staff sampled pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin cookies and pumpkin pie. The students also voted on which pumpkin item was their favorite. The pumpkin ice cream and seeds came out on top for most of the classrooms.
Assistant Director Melanie Gehrt was very appreciative of the parent volunteers.
"This event would not have been possible without our parent volunteers that brought the pumpkin items and helped serve the items," Gehrt said.
Additionally, the classes all learned "A Pumpkin Prayer" by Amy Parker, a board book using rhyme. It was a great way to kick off fall for Genesis ECP students!
