The Risen Christ is Contagious

The Easter Season is such an invigorating time of year.  The Risen Christ is as tangible as what we observe in the renewal of nature. Fresh green leaves and grass, and the vibrant colors of spring flowers brighten the landscape. What is being renewed and restored in your life this Easter Season?

At a time when protective barriers are in place to avoid being exposed to a contagious virus, we must ask ourselves, what else might we be exposing ourselves to?

Isolation, loneliness, disillusionment, depression and fear?
How can we turn this around?
For Christians this is a most glorious season of the year, when our Risen Lord beckons us to shine forth the renewing freshness of Easter.
We are Easter People proclaiming Alleluia, He is Risen!

Our mission as Christians is to be highly contagious!  Nothing can mask the enthusiasm and joy of the risen Christ. The women ran from the empty tomb with great excitement and joy on that first Easter morning to tell Jesus’ disciples Good News! (Mt 28.8)
Let’s spread the contagious viruses of kindness, love, enthusiasm and hope that come from catching the joy of Easter.

Don’t be afraid to get infected, and then to become contagious!  Don’t wait to catch it from others, be a carrier yourself!
Let the spirit awaken your inner creativity so as to catch and spread kindness and hope. 

Offer the warmth of Jesus’ love as a blessing for those who are feeling lonely, damaged or unloved.  Send that love out into the world to people who are desperate, to those who are starving, to those who are trapped in prisons, in hospitals, or filled with loneliness and fear.
Proclaim with the prayer of your renewed life, that Christ has transcended the grave, and His Love can no longer be contained within time and space.  When you spread the seeds of love from the fullness of Christ’s love in you, it infects people. This Love is the deepest power of prayer, contagious enough to spread blessings of healing, joy and freedom to everyone who encounters your touch.
