Due to the nature of choral singing, attendance at rehearsals and liturgies is of great importance. We depend on each other. The director is listening for the blend of voices and the overall sound of the group - even one or two voices missing or added later can change that sound. Therefore.. your prescence makes a difference!
While absences are expected and in some instances unavoidable, we ask that you make the choir a priority by trying to avoid scheduling other events on Thursday evenings or Sunday mornings. With that said, we ask that choir members commit to attending at least 75 percent of rehearsals and liturgies. And, if possible try not to miss two weeks in a row.
A: If you are not contagious it is a good idea to attend rehearsal if you're up to it. You can still receive the conductor's markings to the music and continue to learn the music simply by listening.
