Information Meeting: What the Church Teaches on Annulments and Marriage Outside of the Church
Saturday,January4,2014,10:00 AM-12:00 AM
Location:Parish Office, Room 111
Annulments
The nullity process is a healing ministry, so we look at what as lacking in the sacrament the first time, so that individuals are able to have a better understanding of the Sacrament of Matrimony and enter into it again in the future.
Learn what the Church teaches about annulments. A representative from the Tribunal of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston will be there to answer your questions.
Marriage Outside of the Church:Convalidations
Many couples at CtR have been married either by a civil officer or by a minister of another faith, but for any number of reasons, have not had their marriage recognized by the Catholic Church. This is known as “convalidation” and is not as difficult as you might have been led to believe. If you have a previous marriage in need of declaration of nullity, we can assist you in that regard also.
We will explain the process and help you bring your marriage into the church.
