Please join us for a special evening of prayer as we meditate on the Stations of the Cross through a Taizé-style prayer service. This service will take the place of the usual Friday Stations of the Cross.
Come and have dinner at the Fish Fry, and then make your way over to the church for a beautiful evening of prayer. Childcare is available.
What is Taizé Prayer?
Taizé Prayer comes from the ecumenical Christian community formed in Taizé, France, during World War II. Today, the Taizé community includes brothers from all Christian denominations. By its very existence, the community is a “parable of community” that wants its life to be a sign of reconciliation between divided Christians and between separated peoples.
A Taizé Prayer service involves some variation of singing, silence, and scripture readings usually read in several languages. The music, short songs with few words, is repeated to encourage focus and deep meditation.
