The Genesis ECP curriculum is a center-based curriculum following the Texas Education Agency Guidelines for Pre-Kindergarten Outcomes. Our curriculum uses art, music, books and other center activities following set thematic units throughout the year. These activities are designed to enhance the child's cognitive, physical, social, spiritual and emotional development. Children learn independently and in small groups through hands-on activities within centers. Students engage in active learning that may appear more like play than structured learning. Students benefit from center based learning instruction because it encourages independence, social interaction and multi-sensory learning while teaching problem-solving skills. Center instruction offers opportunities to move around, make choices and encourage individual responsibility.
Additionally, each class attends Music & Movement and Bible Enrichment Classes each week.
