Hurricane Ida Assistance

We invite you to join us in providing aid to our neighbors in Louisiana who are facing the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Ida. We've got two ways to help now.

1. First, Catholic Charities of Galveston-Houston is asking for gift cards in $50 increments (Wal-Mart, Target, Visa, and MasterCard cards are recommended) that will be given to families who have evacuated to Houston. You can drop off gift cards at the parish office beginning today, and we'll get them downtown for immediate distribution to those in need.
2. Secondly, if you'd like to give electronically, you can do so directly to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, which was in the direct path of Ida as it came ashore. The destruction there is widespread. You can do so directly at www.catholiccharitiesht.org/ida.

Let us continue to pray for all who have been impacted, the great majority of whom are still without power or cell service at this time. May God grant peace and comfort to all those affected by the storm, and may the outreach of the greater community bring them hope and healing.
