CtR joins with our brothers and sisters in the 140 parishes across the region and Cardinal DiNardo to raise funds to provide for the future of pastoral ministry to the 1.7 million Catholics in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston through the Ignite Capital Campaign.
At CtR, we are also investing in a good faith effort in support of a parish beautification project - read more about the Marian Grotto & Prayer Garden Expansion below.

The active phase of Ignite at CtR ended in December 2021, but pledges are still accepted.
Ignite began following a 2015 planning study conducted to identify the Archdiocese’s present-day challenges and address the needs of St. Mary Seminary, as well as our area Catholic schools and faith formation at parishes.
The campaign, which aims to raise $150,000,000, kicked off in the spring of 2017, but was placed on hold following Hurricane Harvey and the Covid-19 pandemic. CtR is among the last group of Archdiocesan parishes to participate in the Ignite campaign.
Ignite has six major elements:
All gifts and pledges for the Ignite campaign must be submitted through the Archdiocese. Gifts can not be submitted through FaithDirect.

Over the years, CtR has seen the completion of several campus projects to better serve our ever-growing parish community. Now, we look forward to a project that tends to the spiritual needs of our hearts and creates a space where all can rest in prayer and contemplation with our Lord and Our Lady. Please note the below renderings are conceptual and may not depict the final design.
We hope to raise $3 million in this good-faith effort campaign with the Archdiocese.
Every $1 of $3 given is returned to the parish. With $3 million in pledges, CtR can fund this campus beautification project without incurring additional debt. We are committed to fulfilling existing debt obligations associated with the Redeemer Activity Center and will not grow our current debt with this project.
Dependent on pledges and donations received, CtR hopes to begin construction in Summer 2022.
There are no planned changes to our existing Prayer Garden.
The Pietà will also be relocated to the side of the church underneath the interior Marian window to be the main feature of the Sorrowful Garden.
