As we celebrate the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi) I am reminded that many have been unable to physically receive the Eucharist these past three months due to the pandemic. Have you ever noticed when you are physically separated from someone you love dearly, the desire to be with them just seems to increase? An appreciation of the joy and happiness experienced within that relationship just continues to grow deeper.
The love relationship we experience with God cannot be taken from or diminished in one who truly desires it. If we consider that without food or drink, we will die. It is not surprising that Jesus chose bread and wine to be the sustaining elements needed to nurture our relationship with him. He tells us that His Body is real food… and His Blood is a real drink. Knowing that we will grow hungry again and again, he invites you and me to come and receive his life-giving Body and Blood, His very Presence!
Jesus will feed your hunger no matter where you are or what your limits are. By opening ourselves to new growth, the very Presence of Christ, transforms us, making it possible to see the face of God in each other.
Discover ways to feed each other by offering love and encouragement. We learn to love when we are shown love. Show love to others by sharing your gratitude and appreciation for them. In this way, you will feed their hunger for connection, belonging, and love, and be the very Presence of Christ for them.
Peace Be with You,

Prayer for Healing Dear Lord, Our world is hurting and wanting, May the way I live my life speak to those hurts and help to heal the wounds caused by selfishness and greed. May I, who am richly fed with your Holy Food, learn how to feed others so that no one is ever hungry and the poor are not more!
