It takes only a quick glance at our construction site to know that we are making great progress on the new Parish Life Center. The steel framing is being erected at a very rapid pace. There are three “sequences” of steel for the building. The first
is now completed, and the second and third will continue the next two weeks. This includes all the decking and joists for the project and erection of the beams and pillars. More steel is delivered each week, and as soon as it is offloaded from the delivery trucks, it is laid out (i.e., sequenced) on the ground, and then the big 90-foot crane begins to lift it into place. It’s amazing to see the workers walk on a six inch beam high off the ground with seemingly no care in the world. They make it look effortless, but it takes great skill to put it together.
It’s a reminder that we all have a role to play in making our PLC come to life. Please continue to make your pledge payments on time, and if you have not yet joined us, I invite you to make your financial pledge today. Be part of “building the faith” at CtR!
