From the strangest ending to the weirdest school year, we are excited and so proud of the graduating class of 2020! They have worked so hard over the past four years and have overcome the obstacles placed in their path by Hurricane Harvey and a global pandemic to name a few. Years full of late nights and early mornings, football games and choir concerts, new friends and old faithfuls from kinder.
Through the past four years these young people have risen to the occasion, learned some tough lessons, and are headed off to do great things! God has been with you every step of the way and He will never abandon you. This year may not have turned out the way you anticipated or wanted, but the Lord sees you and has good things in store for your future. He desires to give you a future full of hope.
Sitting at home playing video games and watching Tiger King was probably not your ideal way to spend the last part of your senior year, there are so many more memories and experiences the Lord has planned for you. We mourn what you lost alongside you and when you're ready to set your eyes on the future, we'll be right beside you. Your parish family will be praying and supporting you no matter where the Lord takes you. We will also be here when you come home, don't be a stranger! These next few years will test and help shape you into the adult you choose to be. Seek wise counsel, be open to stepping outside your comfort zone, and don't forget the Lord is with you.
During the next couple of weeks we will be honoring the accomplishments of our seniors on our Facebook and Instagram pages. Each post is full of memories, accomplishments, and exciting news for the future. Check them out and feel free to drop an encouraging word, affirmation, or memory. This may not be a normal May where we get to participate in graduation parties and celebrations, but we can still honor their accomplishments and recognize the hard work they put into it! Thanks for helping us celebrate and love on our seniors!
