Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church dedicated and blessed its new Redeemer Activity Center (RAC) Aug. 12 in Northwest Houston. Daniel Cardinal DiNardo celebrated Mass at Christ the Redeemer, and dedicated and blessed the new building.
Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, in Northwest Houston, will begin the Lenten journey together this year with a Parish Mission, Feb. 19, 20 and 21. The theme of the mission, “Responding to the Spirit: In the Soul, In the Church and In the World” invites parishioners and friends to be led and directed by the Holy Spirit. The three days of spiritual renewal will focus on forming missionary disciples according to Pope Francis’ “Joy of the Gospel” and all are welcome.
Even when we know God’s way is the best way to live we resist. I know I should eat healthy and exercise but I come up with all kinds of excuses not to. It is the same with our relationship with God and our quest for happiness.
Part of our being as humans is our need for control. It seems like when we are growing up, working those first jobs, getting married and raising kids, we want to be in control.
Many times our lives are filled with many details that keep us from the important things in life. This is one way resistance keeps us from being happy.
Matthew Kelly always says, “Your life will change when your habits change.” With this book we can substitute attitude for habits. When our attitudes change our life will change.
