Deanna Negrete is a long-time resident of the great state of Texas. In early 2014, Deanna married her husband Paul at St. Michael Catholic Church in Houston, Texas, where she sings with the Sanctuary Choir. Almost a year later, Paul and she were blessed to expand their family with the birth of their daughter. They soon moved to the Cypress area to be closer to her parents, David and Ofelia Carrasco, who are both active members of the CtR parish.
Deanna worked as an elementary school teacher for nearly a decade before joining the CtR liturgy team as an assistant to the Liturgy Director. She attended the University of St. Thomas earning a degree in chemistry and later attended University of Houston earning a master’s degree in Elementary Education. While teaching science is her passion, her heart belongs to God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the beautiful Church given to us by our merciful Savior. She is looking forward to the birth of her son later this year and considers herself blessed to call Christ the Redeemer home.
