Deanna Negrete is a long-time resident of the great state of Texas. In early 2014, Deanna married her husband Paul at St. Michael Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. Almost a year later, Paul and she were blessed to expand their family with the birth of their daughter. They soon moved to the Cypress area to be closer to her parents, Deacon David and Ofelia Carrasco, who are both active members of the CtR parish.
Deanna worked as an elementary school teacher for nearly a decade before joining the CtR liturgy team as an assistant to the Liturgy Director. She attended the University of St. Thomas earning a degree in chemistry and later attended University of Houston earning a master’s degree in Elementary Education. While teaching science is her passion, her heart belongs to God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the beautiful Church given to us by our merciful Savior. Her hobbies include taking care of her three children, singing with the Redeemer Choir, and reading a good novel when time permits. Deanna considers herself blessed to call Christ the Redeemer home.
