“I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I used to line up stuffed animals and dolls when I couldn't find anyone else to be my ‘students.’ Now, I am hoping to make a bigger impact on more children by being able to work with students in different ways, build relationships with teachers, and infuse our daily curriculum with our Catholicity.”
Randi Serey grew up in Catholic schools. While she has always enjoyed teaching, she continued looking for a “home” school that provided the same environment she remembers from her own Catholic school experience. That missing part was discovered at Christ the Redeemer Catholic School. Teaching in an environment that cultivates a love of Christ has filled her with an abundant sense of fulfillment.
She grew up in South Florida and graduated from Monsignor Edward Pace High School. She attended the University of Central Florida where she received her Bachelor of Science in Political Science, with a minor in Anthropology, in 2006 and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education in 2009. She taught 3rd and 5th grade while living in Orlando. She moved to Houston in 2014 and previously taught 3rd and 4th grade at CtRCS and 1st grade in Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District.
Randi and her husband, Brad, have been married since 2008 and live in Cypress. They have two children, Ellie and Lucas, who both attend CtRCS. She enjoys reading, traveling, especially where there’s an ocean, and enjoying water activities with her family.
