In accordance to directives given by Cardinal DiNardo and the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, CtR is following the below guidelines:
Church capacity for Mass and any on-campus gathering is at 100 percent.
Masks are not required but are encouraged. Clergy and extraordinary ministers will continue to wear masks during the distribution of Holy Communion.
The dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and holy days is removed
Those who find it impossible to attend Mass, due to illness, advanced age, caring for a sick person, or being at high-risk for contracting Covid are not bound to that obligation. They should fulfill their obligation by prayer or meditation on the scriptures of the day. If you fall into one of the categories, and especially in light of the risk for contracting Covid for our high-risk parishioners, you are invited to continue your participation in Mass via our livestream.
The distribution of the Precious Blood (i.e., the Chalice) remains suspended.
The Holy Water font in the Church is once again filled with water.
